KEY WORD: COMMITMENT
MESSAGE: HAVING THE RIGHT QUALIFICATIONS
MAIN COMMENTARY

Hexagram 8 is about seeking a close union or mutually beneficial partnership in business or politics. The image shows two people sitting together with the same desire to create a close bond. Ask the oracle again to get a deeper reading. Ask whether there is the right qualifications to maintain a close union. Is there perseverance? Is there consistency? Are we ideal for each other? If someone doesn't have these qualifications it's better you do not attempt it all. If someone hesitates too long to join the union it's best you let them go.

It's auspicious to have a relationship when both parties are kindhearted and sincere as well as consistent and trustworthy. Those who are not steadfast in their commitment and hesitate to unite or come too late face misfortune and are cut off. They will fail if the right time is missed to establish an intimate relationship. In order for it to be successful, you must be farsighted and be able to foresee the future of the relationship and the signs from the start. People who hesitate or are uncertain should not be accepted.
In the work environment it is to your best interests to deal kindly with employees and cultivate close relations because through cooperation between staff and upper management further growth is achieved. Those who do not have the right qualifications to become group members should be left out.
